What do we do at Natterjacks Day Nursery?
We have a large assortment of resources which include jigsaw puzzles, role play, construction and design, educational games and creative games the children can use as they wish.
Outside we have lots of natural resources to play and learn from, our mud kitchen, bark pool and toadstool picnic area creates a forest feel and we have lots of chariot bikes, cars and super slides to keep us busy.
We have a bug hotel and a little allotment where we can grow things as well as sand, water and salt dough play.
During our busy morning and afternoon, we like to have snack. This is a lovely social event as children learn to give out plates and cups, pour their own milk/water and choose what they would like to eat. We have a great variety of delicious fruits as well as dips and crudités, and on hot days we even have homemade ice pops!
Twice a week we have My Mini Maestros Music and dance with a qualified music teacher, where the children learn lots of funky moves and gain confidence in playing and learning about instruments. We interact in sound effect stories and learn about music from different parts of the world.
Every child that comes to nursery has a learning journey which you as their parent, are welcome to see at any time. We hope by the time your child leaves our setting to start school they will have lots of lovely memories and the opportunity to share with you everything they have learnt at Natterjacks!
